What is Río Real?
Río Real is the residential area of East Marbella surrounding Río Real Golf, a course opened in 1965 to a design by the Spanish architect Javier Arana, the same designer as Aloha and the Guadalmina South course. The layout, practically flat and lush with vegetation, crosses the Río Real river four times on its descent towards the Mediterranean and is about five minutes from Marbella centre. The club has its own hotel and forms part of the original Los Monteros project.
Around the course are apartment and townhouse developments, villas and, on the upper side, recent developments. Towards the sea, Río Real Playa is the first of the coastal developments of East Marbella.

What kind of property is there in Río Real?
Apartments and townhouses in complexes with gardens and pools around the golf, villas in the inner streets and new developments on the slopes. It is an area with a more contained price per square metre than the Golden Mile with the centre five minutes away, which is why it works well both for living and for rental.
