What is Nueva Andalucía?
Nueva Andalucía is a district of the municipality of Marbella just behind Puerto Banús, with Sierra Blanca and the peak of La Concha as its backdrop. It is known as the Golf Valley because it gathers three 18-hole courses within the valley itself: Real Club de Golf Las Brisas, Aloha Golf Club and Los Naranjos Golf Club. It is a mainly residential area of wide streets and landscaped developments, with its own shops, schools and restaurants, and at the same time five minutes from the life of Puerto Banús.
It is not a single gated estate but a collection of developments and sectors with their own character, some of them with private security. It is one of the few parts of Marbella where apartments in developments with communal pools and detached villas on their own plots share the same postcode.
Where is Nueva Andalucía?
The valley sits between Marbella centre and San Pedro de Alcántara, rising from the coast towards the mountains. Puerto Banús is at its southern end, on the beach, and the main entrance is taken from the A-7 at that point. To the north, the valley climbs to the border with Benahavís, where La Quinta and Los Arqueros begin. Marbella centre is about ten minutes away by car; Málaga airport about forty-five.

Sectors of Nueva Andalucía
Nueva Andalucía is organised around its courses, and each sector has its own character:
- Las Brisas: around Real Club de Golf Las Brisas, from 1968, the most established villa area in the valley.
- Aloha: around Aloha Golf Club and Aloha College, with villas and some of the best-known apartment complexes.
- Los Naranjos: around Los Naranjos Golf, from 1977, with villas and apartment developments.
- La Cerquilla: in the northern part of the valley, quiet streets and modern-design villas on medium-sized plots.
To these you can add more urban areas near Centro Plaza and the entrance from Banús, where apartments dominate.

Golf in Nueva Andalucía
The three courses in the valley are also three pieces of Spanish golf history:
- Real Club de Golf Las Brisas (1968), designed by Robert Trent Jones, 18 holes, par 71, with ten artificial lakes and elevated greens.
- Aloha Golf Club (1975), the last design by Javier Arana, who died that same year as the course was being completed. Par 72, narrow tree-lined fairways.
- Los Naranjos Golf Club (1977), designed by Robert Trent Jones.
All three are a few minutes from each other by car. It is the densest concentration of courses around Marbella and explains much of the housing demand in the valley.

Schools and daily life in Nueva Andalucía
Aloha College, founded in 1982, is inside the valley. It was the first fully bilingual school in Marbella and today teaches the British curriculum from ages 3 to 18, with IGCSE, A-levels and the International Baccalaureate. It is one of the reasons many international families choose this area over the seafront.
The Centro Plaza and Aloha area holds supermarkets, clinics, gyms and offices, and the Saturday market beside the bullring is a fixture of the local calendar. For the beach, the restaurants and the nightlife, Puerto Banús is five minutes away.

What kind of property is there in Nueva Andalucía?
Everything, and that is its particularity:
- Apartments and penthouses in landscaped developments with pools, very common around the courses and near Centro Plaza.
- Townhouses in gated complexes, above all in Aloha and Los Naranjos.
- Detached villas on their own plots in Las Brisas, La Cerquilla and the valley slopes, many with views of La Concha or the sea.
- Gated villa communities with security, among the few in Marbella.
In recent years the area has seen a wave of full renovations and newly built villas of contemporary design, above all in La Cerquilla and Las Brisas.

Who is Nueva Andalucía for?
For those who want to live in Marbella all year with school, golf and services at hand, without giving up being five minutes from Puerto Banús. It is an area with a well-established Scandinavian and British community, with a life of its own out of season, and with solid rental demand for both long and short stays.
