What is Guadalmina Baja?

Guadalmina Baja is the part of Guadalmina south of the motorway, between the road and the beach, at the western end of the municipality of Marbella next to San Pedro de Alcántara. It is an area of villas on generous plots, with wide leafy streets and direct access to the sand. Across the motorway lies Guadalmina Alta.

Real Club de Golf Guadalmina opened in 1959 with the South course, laid out by the Spanish architect Javier Arana; the North course was completed in 1973. Many of the villas in the area are organised around those fairways, and the South course reaches the sea.

What kind of property is there in Guadalmina Baja?

This is family villa territory: plot, garden and the beach on foot, with some on the seafront and many on the front line of the golf. People buy here to live year-round rather than to rent, and demand comes mostly from international families looking for schools nearby and quiet without giving up the coast. The replacement of older villas by contemporary projects is constant.
