What is Los Flamingos?
Los Flamingos is the development surrounding the Villa Padierna resort, in the municipality of Benahavís, halfway between Marbella and Estepona. The golf club gathers three layouts: Flamingos, the original, with sea views as far as Gibraltar and host to European Senior Tour events and the Spanish Ladies Open; Alferini, the most demanding, at 6,641 metres; and Tramores, an 18-hole executive course with an academy. The resort hotel is the five-star Anantara Villa Padierna Palace.
The development sits on a slope with the sea in front and the hills behind, its villas and complexes spread among the three courses. The New Golden Mile coast is a few minutes away by car.
