What is Mijas Pueblo like?
Mijas Pueblo is the historic centre of the municipality of Mijas, a white village some four hundred metres up in the hills, directly above Fuengirola. Its cobbled, whitewashed streets lead to the gardens and the Mirador de la Muralla, remains of the old fortress on which the village was founded, from where you see one of the widest panoramas on the Costa del Sol. Its best-known image is the donkey taxis, a tradition that began in the nineteen-sixties when tourists asked the labourers riding home on donkeys for photographs and rides. The coast is about ten minutes away by car.

What kind of property is there in Mijas Pueblo?
Renovated village houses in the centre, many with sea views thanks to the altitude, and villas and townhouses in the hillside developments around the village. It is a different product from Mijas Costa: more village, more views and more quiet, with the beach ten minutes away.
