Puerto Deportivo Sotogrande opened in 1987 east of the mouth of the Guadiaro river, and its opening marked the moment when the estate, until then reserved for a very closed circle, opened up to a wider public. Today it is the largest marina in Andalusia, with 1,382 berths, and it organises the social life of Sotogrande in summer: restaurants and bars around the basin, a market and an inner marina with navigable canals beside the homes.
