What is Finca Cortesín?
Finca Cortesín is a residential, golf and hotel resort in the municipality of Casares, about twenty minutes west of Estepona and a kilometre inland from the sea, with a controlled entrance. Its 18-hole course, designed by Cabell B. Robinson, has hosted three editions of the Volvo World Match Play Championship and the 2023 Solheim Cup, played from 22 to 24 September, which pitted the European and United States teams against each other and put Casares on the world golf map.
The five-star hotel has 67 suites, a 2,200-square-metre spa and a 6,000-square-metre beach club, plus several restaurants. International schools are nearby, in Sotogrande and Estepona, a quarter of an hour away.
